How CBD Oil can cure Arthritis?
CBD Oil is an active cannabinoid compound present in the hemp (marijuana) plant. It is very much popular now due to its potential health benefits and therapeutic uses. According to several research studies, CBD Oil is completely safe and non-psychoactive. It means it can’t put you “high” and nothing to worry about its overdosing. People are now using CBD Oil for the treatment of different ailments and medical conditions such as chronic pain, inflammation, fibromyalgia, vulvodynia, vomiting, nausea, and mental disorders.
But can you use CBD Oil for the treatment of Arthritis? Well, according to the research studies, Yes! you can use CBD Oil for curing Arthritis. Recently, a research study was carried out on rats suffering from Arthritis (Joint Pain). The rats were given a dose of 2 gm of CBD daily for 2 weeks. A significant improvement in the joint pain of rats was reported by the research study which laid the foundation for using CBD oil for the treatment of Arthritis.
However, unfortunately, the exact mechanism behind the working of CBD Oil in the treatment of Arthritis is not completely understood. Some research studies claimed that CBD Oil may provide pain and inflammation relief by interacting with the Endocannabinoid System of the body.
· CBD Oil can cure Arthritis by interacting with the Endocannabinoid System of the Body
The Endocannabinoid System is an additional type of immune system in the body that is responsible for the regulation of many important functions in the body including sleep, pain and inflammation responses, mood, body temperature, and memory. The human body produces several chemicals just like the endocannabinoids present in the hemp plant. These chemicals are produced by the Endocannabinoid System when the body needs them. The Endocannabinoid System uses these chemicals to regulate the above-mentioned body functions.
In another theory proposed by the research studies, the Endocannabinoid System regulates functions through its receptors known as endocannabinoid receptors. These receptors are present throughout the body, particularly in brain parts. There are two main categories of the Endocannabinoid receptors present in the human body, CB1, and CB2 receptors. CB1 receptors are responsible for the pain signal’s modulation and responses. On the other hand, CB2 receptors are responsible for the inflammation responses in the body.
CBD Oil interacts with both these receptors which leads to the production of certain endocannabinoids in the body. These endocannabinoid chemicals are then bound on the surface of the endocannabinoid receptors and block their activity. So, as a result of this mechanism, both pain and inflammation production are inhibited and the patient suffering from Arthritis starts feeling relief. It is very important to mention here that, CBD is 10 times more potent and active than morphine. CBD Oil also increases the level of anandamide in the body which further provides pain and inflammation relief in case of Arthritis.
Some research studies have reported the very strong and powerful antioxidant activity of CBD Oil. For this reason, it is considered the first endocannabinoid modulator to be used in patients for pain relief. CBD Oil is also a TNF-a inhibitor. It is also found to be effective in increasing the adenosine signaling and thus providing pain relief and reduces inflammation.
How to use CBD Oil for Arthritis?
You can use CBD Oil sublingually for the treatment of Arthritis. In this case, you will place 4-5 drops of CBD oil under your tongue and it will automatically dissolve and enter your bloodstream. This is actually one of the easiest ways of consuming CBD Oil. It will produce fast results and effects with high bioavailability.
The second method which you can use for taking CBD Oil for the treatment of Arthritis is CBD Oil topicals like lotions and creams. Several CBD Oil topical products are available in the markets nowadays such as lotion, creams, and solutions, etc. These products are particularly best for those people who don’t want to taste CBD. In this method, you just have to apply a small amount of CBD topical on your joints and rub until you start feeling its benefits. This method will take a longer time to produce results in comparison to the Sublingual method, however it is completely safe because you don’t have to take CBD internal in the body.
