CBD and Fashion: A Beautiful Combo
Discover the Most Popular Fashion Trends of 2020
With a brand new year just around the corner, you want to look and feel your best. That means getting ready for 2020 with as much style as you can pack into your closet. Everything from your hat and sunglasses to your socks and shoes should represent your personal style. Are you ready to update your wardrobe? Believe me, doing so is easier said than done. Fortunately, I’ve created a little cheat sheet for you.
To begin, everyone is talking about chic CBD these days. At the same time, looking and feeling fit is as fashionable as it gets. That’s why combining the two multibillion dollar industries, CBD and fashion, is as stylish as one can imagine. Not only are the top CBD gummies and any CBD tincture on the market selling like hotcakes, but CBD bath bombs, soaps, and lotions for sale will be a gamechanger in 2020.
The domestic sales of CBD products reached a whopping $1.8 billion in 2018. That number is expected to surpass $20 billion in the next 5 years, according to BDS Analytics and Arcview Market Research.
When it comes to CBD and fashion, the industry is now flooded with CBD activewear. Popular CBD-infused garments now include expensive jumpsuits seen regularly in New York City, throughout Hollywood, and on Miami Beach. Maybe it is modern attire by folks taking tennis lessons at the club, or perhaps they’re practicing Pilates. Combining fitness and luxurious fashion, these fabrics are designed to manage sore muscles.
Growing in popularity, these trendy garments are created with miniscule drops of hemp-derived CBD that contains no THC whatsoever. The CBD can be placed in workout attire to line up with specific muscle groups, such as arms, legs, and calves. With the friction caused by an exercise routine, the fabric releases CBD. It is then quickly and safely absorbed into the skin, where it interacts with an individual’s endocannabinoid system.
Unfortunately, CBD clothing doesn’t have much of a reputation online when it comes to men’s fashion, as well as women’s fashion. Consumers agree that you are better off buying more powerful products, like CBD oil and edibles from a reputable company based in the United States.
The next big trend in 2020 is women wearing enormous Victorian sleeves, not unlike those seen in the 18th Century. The giant sleeves give the illusion of a thinner waist. It also adds plenty of femininity to any outfit. You can go for the goth look with black or gray sleeves, if not shoot for vivid colors to bring flare to minimalist outfits. Whether you flaunt a structured design or a whimsical sheer one, your puffy sleeves can be dashing.
The reinvented white top couldn’t be any hotter. While most folks possess white T-shirts in the drawers, make room for ones that have been cropped with plenty of decorations added on. Runway models have recently been seen wearing the colorless Ts that were cropped just below the chest with cut-up sleeves. Some designers have attached feathers to the tops, while others have sewn in decorative wires. The shirts go wonderfully with a pair of blues jeans or khakis. They also look marvelous under leather jackets and trench coats. White tops work on anybody just about anywhere, regardless of the time of year.
It seems that denim will never go out of style, at least not in the next year. In fact, models have been piling up as much blue denim as possible. Denim hats, denim jackets, and denim skirts are more than just budget-friendly and durable. They are as posh as you can imagine, even if they look like they came from a thrift store. Some have holes, while other jeans possess bleach stains, patchwork, ruffles, and tears. Indigo blue and galaxy blue work well with straight-legged high waisted jeans under pleated shirts, tailored blazers, and silk blouses.
Those of us who remember watching Nirvana and Pearl Jam Unplugged will certainly appreciate the Nineties Style that’s becoming trendy again. Without drifting from the denim look, you can stick to the grunge feel. All you have to do is add some plaid flannel. Do you have an old band T-shirt, like The Clash or The Ramones, to go under a button-down and beat-up leather jacket? Those living in cold weather get to rely on layering and comfort. Don’t forget the Converse Chuck Taylor high tops or Doc Martens on your feet. At least Nineties-Style accessories, such as barrettes, scrunchies, and basic black tattoo stretch chockers won’t be making their way back into the limelight anytime soon.
If you grew up when Led Zeppelin was touring, rather than Kurt Cobain, you won’t mind the return of the Seventies style in today’s culture. Runways and nightclubs will be filled with corduroy, bell bottoms, and vests. You’ll see plenty of earth tones, including brown, tan, and orange. Curly hair will get as big as possible. The guys will sport giant collars on their unbuttoned tops, along with plenty of facial hair. Ladies will flaunt high-waisted three-piece suits with flared slacks and extravagant jackets to channel free-spirited women’s lib. Both will show off broad shoulders, boxy shapes, and funky platform heels and psychedelic prints. The mere sight of these outfits will stir up images of John Travolta and the sounds of the Bee Gees in your head.
If you prefer the sounds of The Beach Boys, you won’t mind seeing Bermuda shorts on women all year. Nicknamed “mom shorts,” the knee-length slacks have been going in and out of fashion since the Forties. That is why you will be seen with every type of top imaginable this spring, from raggedy cotton shirts and modest Ts to pink blazer suits. Businesswomen will flaunt shiny satin and leather Bermuda shorts at the office, along with tie-dyes and suede button-down at the nightclubs.
Rather than looking nostalgic in 2020, dashing women will be appearing ultramodern in see-through shirts, dresses, coats and blazers. Figures will be shown off under the wild mesh designs with a risqué feel. Sometimes large zoot suits will be worn over knitted tops and sexy undergarments. Depending on the outfit, a woman will expose her neck, hips, and/or stomach. While see-through outfits will be seen in a wide variety of colors, shapes, and designs, the black lingerie-look will be the most prevalent next year.
Sticking to a high-tech appearance, neon has been quite popular this winter and will continue into the spring. Women’s sunglasses, dresses, and shoes all light up in shades of green, orange, and yellow for an electric feel. Draped in sharp tuxedos with oversized shoulders, models look like they came from a techno dancefloor in the latest Steven Spielberg sci-fi flick. There are strapless bubble dresses that glow, along with neon jackets that can be seen in outer space.
Other trends for ladies to look for include tiny vests, giant granny sunglasses, and wearing a towel as a skirt. Purses will be shaped like eggs and others will hang around a woman’s waist on a petite belt bag.
Are you ready to kick off the New Year with a stylish bang? Maybe you have already started. When it comes to CBD and fashion, there is plenty to look forward to in 2020. The future is so bright, it literally lights up the night.
